Winalta Inc. Announces Senior Appointments

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 23, 2006) - Winalta Inc. (TSX VENTURE:WTA.A) ("Winalta"), as part of its' expansion strategy to take advantage of increasing demand for industrial and wellsite trailers and camps, announced today the addition of three senior oil patch executives to lead growth in its new oilfield sector.

Winalta had recently announced the acquisition of Jeffman Enterprises Ltd. operating as Sundance Rentals ("Sundance") and these appointments represent a further indication of Winalta's intent to grow the rental, leasing and sale of wellsite trailers and camp units. In doing so Winalta will make full use of its' wholly owned manufacturing facility, Vanguard Inc., located in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. This modern facility, manufactures on 2 lines, has over 40,000 square feet under one roof and enjoys an experienced, skilled and stable work force.

Holiday customs come from various origins

During the first week of December, as part of the routine of decorating our home for the holiday season, we placed the Advent wreath in its usual place, arranged in the middle of the dining room table.

Because our wreath is modular for storage purposes, it could be arranged in several formats, so my 6-year-old grandson asked the logical question, Why do we put it out in a circle? It put me on the pattern of thinking about some of our customs, especially those that blend secular and religious traditions.

The wreath, in its circular format, can be traced in several directions, one of which leads to the ancient celebration of the solstice. Both the use of evergreens and the circular (sun) shape reminded people in the pre-Christian world, especially northern parts of Europe, that winter would not be as endless as it seemed.
